Join Montpelier's famed archaeologists and dig for historical "treasure" in never-before-examined hallowed ground. This concentrated experience will give you the skills of a real archaeologist as you work side-by-side with Montpelier's Ph.D. archaeologists to discover the pottery, glassware, buttons, door hinges, and other remnants that reveal how the Madisons and their slaves lived and worked on the estate.

COST/SINGLE: $1,640 | COST/DOUBLE: $2,735
Reservation: Must be booked at least 4 weeks in advance of Excursion check-in date.
Deposit: 50% of Excursion cost at the time of reservation. Balance paid at check-out.
Cancellation Policy: Deposit is non-refundable. However if cancellation is made 14 days prior to the scheduled check-in date the Excursion may be moved to the next mutually available date with Montpelier and your B&B and the Restaurants. If rescheduling is not possible the deposit will be forfeited.
2010 DATES OFFERED: March 28-April 3, April 11-17, April 25-30, Auguest 1-7, August 8-14, August 22-28, September 5-12, October 3-9, October 17-23.
Restaurants include Restaurant Pomme, Toliver House, Elmwood at Sparks, Mario's, Silk Mill Grill, and San Marcos.
NOTES: Accommodates a minimum of 10 people, and a maximum of 16. Accommodations and restaurants are subject to availability. Price does not include taxes or gratuity.
